Baseball is better down at the beach. The Surfin’ Turfs are a Collegiate Wood Bat Baseball Team in the Old North State League. The Surfin’ Turfs play their games at Founders Field at Brunswick Community College. The Surfin’ Turfs name comes from the classic coastal dish, the Surf N’ Turf, you can find often in the Southeast. The perfect mix of Land and Sea. Our Mascot, Stew, is a Surfing Cow to represent the name.
The most recent 2023 Surfin' Turfs team came out of the year as Regular Season and Eastern Division Champions, making them the winningest Surfin' Turfs team to come through the program yet. The 2023 Turfs made it to the second round of the ONSL playoffs, going down to the Pineville Porcupines in a grueling 15-inning matchup.
